Carnegie reads that the design for the replacement for the Forth Road Bridge is still at an early stage but that designers have still not ruled out creating a "double decker" bridge.
"THE new £4.2 billion bridge over the Forth could be a double-decker, with cars and lorries using an upper level and trams and buses below, it was reported today. The project team has drawn up three preliminary designs for the new crossing, with work expected to start in 2011."
And the other deck would be just for trams which will please Fife Council no end, but does it make financial sense?
