Carnegie's bequest.

This week Burntisland is marking the centenary of its Library which was openen by Mr Carnegie himself on September 18, 1907. An occasion worthy of note thinks Mr Carnegie.

Not because of who opened it, but because of the hundreds of thousands of people who have over the last 100 years benefited from an opportunity to learn something from the institution that would otherwise not have existed.

Carnegie's bequest in action. But who is the old bloke (Carnegie not so double) that they wheeled out for the picture in the Free Press?
