Criticism.

"THE Scottish Government’s plans for a new Local Income Tax have been slammed in a highly critical report by Fife Council’s top finance official Brian Lawrie. The report, which was submitted to Thursday’s meeting of the council’s policy, finance and asset management committee, criticised the proposals, saying they would not improve accountability, would be difficult to administer and that the proposed tax level would produce a shortfall in the money available to local authorities and could mean cuts in local services."

But hang on ... isn't Fife Council now part lead by an SNP administration? It probably means the criticism will be ignored in any final comment from Fife Council. Is Mr Lawrie heading for retirement?
