Scottish Water seems to have been having a lot of leaks recently. There have been a few affecting Dalgety Bay and Aberdour that Carnegie is aware of.
"HOMES in a Dunfermline street were left with no running water for three days last week after a burst pipe caused the supply to become contaminated. And angry residents of Inchkeith Drive hit out at the way Scottish Water handled the situation, saying they were kept in the dark about the problem. Dunfermline councillor Tony Martin has also voiced concerns, claiming the state-owned company is ill-prepared to deal with such emergencies.
Perhaps instead of his shoulder shrugging Councillor Martin should put a bit of effort into finding out what the problem is and getting it fixed rather than acting like some kind of unofficial, and probably ill-informed, apologist for Scottish Water.
